The following article, written by Karen Turner, highlights one of LaborWorks’ temporary workers who received a full-time position with Western Container Corporation. Congrats Warren on all your hard work!

“Life is a journey; we need to enjoy it for we get only one chance. This is one of my mantras and when I sit and think about this saying, one team member always comes to mind—Warren Martin. Warren chooses to be happy every single day he is in the plant and embodies the WCC Core Values more than anyone I know. He is the person you want to work with when you are having a bad day as he won’t let your day be bad for very long. Warren started with the Fife plant as an outside temp member, but it became clear very early on, his initiative and openness to embrace change was exactly what WCC was looking for to help our plant reach the highest level of service we can provide to our members and our customers. Warren was quickly hired as a full time team member in July of last year and has since stepped up to help the Warehouse department as a trainer of new members; teaching members to enhance their skills while focusing on safety as their highest priority. Warren comes to work prompt and prepared; consistently taking notes during shift meetings in order to work effectively for his team during his shift. Dan Worden, our Warehouse Manager, depends on all his teammates but when we sat down to discuss Warren as our spotlight member, Dan had the following to say: “Warren understands what integrity, personal responsibility and professional behavior are, and he shows each of us mutual respect every day. Warren makes the choice to come to work happy and he tries to pass his attitude on to all members. He is willing to help wherever he is needed and willing to work overtime and various shifts if needed. Just recently in a two week span, Warren worked on all three shifts not only to help me out but one of his teammates who needed a different shift for a day.” Warren does not deviate from WCC Core Values and Expectations. He holds himself accountable during his shift and in all aspects of his life. Warren chooses to live to the highest standard and commits himself to his position every single day.”
