You can take a few simple measures to avoid getting sick. Wash your hands often and cover your mouth and nose with a tissue when coughing or sneezing. If soap and water are nowhere to be found, use an alcohol-based hand sanitizer. Avoid touching your eyes, nose or mouth. Germs are often spread when a person touches something that is contaminated with germs and then touches his or her eyes, nose, or mouth.
Try to prevent close contact with people who are sick. If possible, stay home from work when you are sick for a quicker recovery. Practice other good health habits like disinfecting frequently touched surfaces. Take care of yourself. Get plenty of sleep, be physically active, manage your stress, drink plenty of fluids, and eat nutritious food.
